Jun 9, 2016- Nepal Police is providing free bus service in two routes within the Kathmandu valley till 5 pm on Thursday in view of general strike called by Netra Bikram Chand-led CPN Maoist.
The Police, through a Twitter post , announced the free bus service along with the list of two routes.
The first route of the Police bus will travel from Naxal, Jay Nepal, Putalisadak, Maitighar, Thapathali, Pulchwok, Jawalakhel, Ekantakuna, Balkhu, Kalanki, Rabibhawan, Kalimati, Tripureshwor, Nagsthan, New Road gate, Jamal, Durbarmarg, Jay Nepal and back to Naxal.
The second route will also begin its service from Naxal and head towards Maiti Devi, Gaushala, Airport, Sinamangal, Koteshwor, Tinkune, New Baneshwor, Maitighar, Thapathali, Tripureshwor, Sahid Gate, New Road gate, Jamal, Lainchaur, Lazimpat, Talim Kendra, Narayan Gopal Chowk and back to Talim Kendra, Baluwatar and finally Naxal.
All public vehicles are off the road since early morning and some cases of vandalism have also been reported in Kathmandu.
